At KINDSHARE, we value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your data when using the KINDSHARE app, in compliance with global privacy standards including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

KINDSHARE is owned and operated by Open Form LLC, a Delaware limited liability company.
Information We Collect
We collect the following user-entered and activity-based data:
Name (self-reported and unverified)
Income information Income information is self-reported, optional, and used only for equitable transaction splitting. It is never shared with other users, though the split itself may imply relative differences.
Transaction data, including:
Amount
Date/time
Connected user
App usage data (e.g. error logs, screen views, etc.)
We do not collect or store:
Government-issued identification
Banking details or credit card information
Payment credentials
All financial transactions are handled externally via Venmo. KINDSHARE does not process or store payment data.
Your data is used for the following purposes:
To provide equitable cost-splitting functionality between users
To display and store historical transaction records
To improve the performance, reliability, and design of the app
To communicate account-related updates, product improvements, or important service changes
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
We may disclose data only when legally required (e.g. to comply with law enforcement or regulatory orders).
We may share aggregated, anonymized data with third parties for product improvement, provided it does not identify individual users.
We use industry-standard cloud infrastructure and encryption practices (via Firebase and other providers) to store and protect your data. However, no digital service is completely secure. You use the KINDSHARE app at your own risk.
We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described above or as required by applicable law. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information unless legally required to retain certain records.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:
Access your personal data
Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
Request deletion of your data (“Right to be Forgotten”)
Restrict or object to how we process your data
Request your data in a portable format
Our lawful bases for processing include contract performance, legitimate interest, and consent where required.

KINDSHARE is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under this age. If we learn that a minor has submitted personal data, we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted in-app with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
